Exposed to the eternal smile of the Zanskari and the stunning beauty of the Himalayas, we decided to find ways to ensure that both the smile and beauty could be preserved for many generations to come.
This website, is one of the ways we hope the voice of the Zanskari people will be heard around the globe. Listening to their voice is important, not only to support them but also to learn from them. To quote the words of Alfred Einstein:
"Nothing that I can do will change the structure of the universe. But maybe, by raising my voice, I can help in the greatest of all causes ... goodwill among men and peace on earth."
As you will see our website contains still a lot of empty space, we are working hard so please be patient and stay tuned!
In the name of the people of Zanskar we thank you for your visit and hope you come back soon,
Christophe & Marc

Support the children of the families in Zanskar who have non or limited financial resources. Our commitment is to guarantee sponsorship for the full length of their education. It's heartbreaking and devastating for a child to face lack of financial support after a few years (what sometime happens with individual funding or gifts). So our focus is quality not quantity!
Protect The Himalayas
The Himalaya have been increasingly threatened by human activity. In Zanskar the threat comes largely from commercial activities, consumer littering and the complete lack of eco awareness. Help us to work together with the Zanskari to stop the growing garbage pile and to create awareness among the local government, local communities, trekking agencies and tourists.
Get actively involved in our projects: make a donation, volunteer or contact us to find out in what other ways you can help. Become "A friend of Zanskar" today! ... your act of kindness will warm the heart of someone accross the great Himalayan Range!
